You cannot have a first-rate school without first-rate school leadership.

Dr. Vincent Ferrandino

The new WASCD Director of Instruction Handbook was developed to comply with changes to administrative licensing in Wisconsin. This administrative rule PI 34 requires all initial educators, which includes administrators, to have a mentor assigned who is trained in the Wisconisn Standards. An initial educator is someone who has completed an approved program with institutional endorsement and is now entering the profession with a Master's degree. While this handbook is intended for new directors of instruction, the resources may also be valuable to other administrators.
