WASCD's previous 2-day Behavior Solutions workshop focused on setting up a multi-tiered system of support using the Behavior Integration Assessment (BIA) Rubrics, where teams reflected on their current state and next steps in Tier 1 and Tier 2. That work was primarily focused on continuous improvement through the systems-level lens.
This Behavior Academies two-day workshop is designed to delve deeper into the why, what, and how of targeted behavior interventions that work.
Participants will learn:
Why - Drill down into beliefs and mindset, roles and responsibilities of the T2 team
What – Create a common language and structure of the T2 system to support behavior academy work
How – Design (Identify, Match, Deliver, and Monitor), FAQs around T2 implementation, and scheduling ideas to ensure consistency and effectiveness. Teams will develop their T2 system: Identify, Match, Deliver, and Monitor
Identify/Match- Develop a T2 Menu of targeted interventions and establish Entry/Exit criteria
Deliver – The structure of a Behavior Academy
Develop a behavior academy utilizing the Academy structure (Initial Session, Ongoing sessions, and Exit session)
Practice using the ongoing session structure so teams feel prepared to run an academy
Monitor – Ensure the effectiveness of a targeted intervention
Utilize the progress monitoring tool
"Cultivate and sustain a harmonious school with targets behavior interventions that work."

Build their own behavior academy with a clearly outlined process
Use behavior rehearsal cards for an academy’s ongoing sessions
